Happy New Year to all: As the calendar has flipped a page, and we enter a new year, the club is gearing up for several exciting events. Of course, we are accepting the 2017 dues now, and they can be mailed to Ken Crusius at 267 Summit Ave., Hackensack, NJ 07601. The dues remain $35.00.
Saturday, January 21 Beer Tasting: We will be going to Brix City Brewing, a local micro brewery, at 4 Alsan Way, Little Ferry. The Club is providing snacks, and the bar bill will be split among the members participating. Arrangements have been made with the owners for our event. Come out and enjoy brews the way they should be. You can find them on line under “Brix City”. Bring a friend. We will have a $5.00 food charge for non members. The football season is over, so we are meeting there at 3:00 p.m. Important! Call, text, or email Ken with how many are coming so we get enough food. (Crusius@verizon.net or 201-394-7481)
Thursday, January 26th, Dues night: Free hot dogs, chili and a libation during the meeting for all members who have paid their 2017 dues. Dues will be accepted that night. An eight p.m. start.
Thursdays in February: Starting February 2nd, we will once again be having our Thursday soup luncheons. Soup is $5.00, and the kitchen is open 12:00 noon till 2:00 p.m. Our first week will be escarole and bean soup and split pea. The next week’s menu TBA the week before.
Saturday, February 4th, Annual Pancake Breakfast: This is a gourmet pancake breakfast, with all you can eat, including meats, eggs, and waffles. The price is $10.00 per person (Children under 10 $5.00 each). We start serving at 8:00 a.m. till 11:00. Non-members are welcome.
Friday, February 10th, Our Annual Pizza Night: Old Judge style pizza, $15.00 per person, the event is open to everyone, so bring a friend. Menu: Antipasto, Pasta Fagioli, Pizza, Cookies and Coffee. Bring Your Own Booze / Soda, Water & Coffee Provided You can pay at the door but please reserve your seat; Reservations required. 7:00 p.m. start.
Friday, March 17th, Annual St Patty’s Day Corned Beef Night: All the usual $30.00. 7:00 p.m. start. Please make a reservation.
