Getting Started is the Hardest Part

• What is the World Wide Web?
• Using Notepad or DOS Editor to create a browser-readable file
• Comparing .txt and .html files in browsers
• Use the most basic HTML marks
• Communicating on the Internet: FTP and Telnet
• Browsers: LYNX, MOSAIC, Netscape, and Explorer (and now Opera)

Fun with the Bells and Whistles

• Making links to other pages
• Colors in general - RGB and hexadecimal numbers.
• Color backgrounds, color text, color links
• Pictures in the page, backgrounds, etc.
• Sounds and music in your page.
• Lists, ordered and unordered
• Using different font faces in your pages.
• Using bold and italic type and making rubrics red.
• Using the refresh command

Work with Tables and More Advanced Topics

• Tables from the basics to the advanced
• Taking other pages' graphics, text, links, or whatever (sexysuzy).
• Using the "Print Screen Key" and Paint for graphics.
• Frames, their use and abuse.
• Forms and the need for SSI or other programs for their use. E.g., Converter to Roman Numerals.
• Cascading Style Sheets, a quick tutorial, and some of my ongoing experiments.
• A Slide Show
